Heatwave affects migrant workers in Kodaikanal

Kodaikanal hill station in Tamil Nadu, Southern India had been thronged by tourists in the summer season. During the season, thousands of labourers including taxi drivers, hawkers and tourist guides work in Kadaikanal earning well. But this year, the hill station faced steep downfall in the number of tourists due to the heatwave. As a result, migrated labourers who reached there for the jobs were hit hard and returned empty hands.
